The history of IFS began in 2003 under the name International Food Standard. The focus at the time was to ensure food safety and process optimisation. IFS has remained true to these principles but has since expanded its portfolio. The International Food Standards now comprise seven different standards, which will be updated in collaboration with you: industry representatives, certification bodies and retailers. Our aim is to help you, in industry, to prevent recalls, optimise your processes and facilitate the sale of your products to retailers. In addition, we would like to support you in the implementation of our standards through our training programme.
